Mallorca
Mallorca is the largest island of the well known Balearic group, set off the east coast of mainland Spain, enjoying a mild and pleasant climate basking in the Mediterranean. An island of surprises and contrasting scenery, Mallorca is much more than just great beaches, fun bars, good restaurants and lively nightlife. Although all those essential ingredients for a marvellous holiday are certainly present, there is also a lesser known Mallorca which is typical, traditional and quite delightfully hidden.
Cala Pi is found in the South of the island, a fjord-like inlet often acclaimed as the nicest cove in Mallorca; its turquoise crystal-clear waters will not disappoint you.
This small seaside village is located 20 kilometers away from the airport and 30 kilometers away from Palma. The nearest town is Llucmajor (15 kilometers) where there is a good choice of local supermarkets and restaurants. There are also a couple of small supermarkets and restaurants in the area and a large hypermarket on the road into Palma.
Several well worth visiting spots are less than 30 minutes driving away such as the beautiful city of Palma, the 7 kilometers long beach of Playa de Palma and just a short drive away ... Es Trenc and Sa Rapita - several kilometers of sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters make this area the Caribbean of the Mediterranean. Perfect place for water sports lovers: wind surfing, kite surfing and sailing and not to be missed - the imposing 90 meters high cliff of Cap Blanc from where you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets.
If you like golf, the newly opened Maioris Golf Club and Son Antem Golf Club are less than 20 minutes drive away. A car is advised to get the most from the area.
