Local Info

The villa is in a quiet village of established private villas and houses. In the village, there is a cove with a beach which is only 15 mins walk from the villa. Alternatively you can drive there and park before going down the steps to the beach.

To the east, 10 mins drive away, is Es Trenc, one of the largest and most famous beaches in Mallorca, set within a nature reserve. So no big buildings nearby, just dunes and a couple of beach bars where they serve Mallorca specialities such as tumbet, a Mallorca vegetable stew, and Frito Mallorquin, fried liver and potato and peppers. Of course they do the usual fare, ranging from egg and chips and spaghetti to calamari and suckling pig ribs.

Golf

For those who like Golf, the Marriott Son Antem Golf Spa and Hotel is 25 mins away and offers two championship 18 hole courses plus spa, leisure club, pool and restaurant.

There is a local golf course near Lluc Major, 15 mins away and a new golf complex is being built 10 mins away between Cala Pi and Arenal. Due to open soon.

Travel

Cala Pi is on the south coast only 20 miles from the airport and is easily found. There are market days in Mallorca, the nearest being Lluc Major on Fridays, only 10 mins away. Felanitx is on Sssss and has very picturesque centre ideal for lunch. Most markets are over by 1 or 2 pm. Palma, Arenal, Campos and Cala D'Or are all within easy reach. Arenal has a water park.

Cala Pi Village

The village itself is small but has at least 3 restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. There are 2 supermarkets and in the centre there is the Cala Pi club at which excursions can be booked.
